Care

When you first purchase an Earth Me mat the rubber smell will be a little obvious so air it outside away from direct sunlight for a few days when you are not using it. The smell will dissipate given time.

Don’t put your Earth Me mat in a washing machine or submerge it in water.

Use Tribe Eco Clean mat cleaner or make your own solution of 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water. Using a soft cloth, spot clean your mat as required and allow to dry naturally before storing.

Harsh chemicals and scrubbing brushes should not be used on this mat as it is 100% natural tree rubber. She is tough but sensitive - a lot like you!

Keep your Earth Me away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. The back of a car or near a heater are not recommended.

Trusty friend for three years and counting

I've owned this mat for about three years now and it has seen a lot of use. It's a great mat. The thickness and weight make it a very comfortable and sturdy base for your practice. The thick rubber layer between you and the floor gives you a nice amount of padding, making a posture such as the headstand much more forgiving. It also will never bunch up when you're pivoting on your heel or sliding across the mat.

Even after a long period of use and plenty of exposure to direct sunlight (not recommended), the mat is still in great shape. The only signs of wear are minor discolourations on the areas where my feet created friction against the rubber. I don't mind, they give it more character.

The mat is not the most grippy (compared to manduka's eko mats for example) so if you're in a very humid environment or sweat a lot, you might find yourself slipping a bit. Ultimately, I think this is a matter of preference and this mat strikes a good balance between being grippy, but also slippy enough to be able to slide on.

Wonderful Mat

This is a really nice mat which I use daily, with a good grippy texture which makes transitions and standing poses feel a lot steadier. I chose the green and it’s a lovely relaxing colour, very happy with it!

Earth Me Yoga Matt

I have had my matt for a number of weeks and use it at least 3 times a week. Simply it is everything I thought I wanted and have been proved right by this purchase. I'm happy with this mat. I like the soothing deep green colour, and it has excellent grip. There is a latex/rubber smell, but it wasn't terribly strong and quickly fades.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
